My Secret Keeper

1. Overview

My Secret Keeper is a private, encrypted record and document keeper designed to help you store and organize important personal information within the Apple ecosystem. It is not built around external accounts or developer-hosted cloud storage. We do not collect, track, sell, or store your personal vault data on our own servers.

2. Data Storage

Your vault data is stored on your device.

• If you enable iCloud sync, encrypted vault data is stored and synchronized using Apple's iCloud and related Apple services under your Apple account.
• We do not have access to your vault contents at any time.

3. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal vault data, analytics, usage metrics, advertising identifiers, tracking data, or profiles about how you use the app.

Specifically:

• No user account is required to use My Secret Keeper.
• No personal vault data is sent to our servers.
• No third-party advertising or analytics SDKs are used.
• No tracking is used across apps or websites.

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes that transaction. We do not receive your full payment information.

4. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only within the app to provide its intended features, including:

• creating and organizing records
• storing notes, drawings, photos, files, and attachments
• searching and viewing your stored information
• using optional AutoFill features you enable
• supporting encrypted backup and restore features
• supporting optional on-device analysis features, where available

5. Security

• Sensitive data is encrypted before storage and before synchronization where applicable.
• My Secret Keeper also supports device-level protections provided by Apple, including Face ID, Touch ID, passcode protection, and Keychain-based security.
• If you enable iCloud sync, access to synchronized data is governed by your Apple account and device security settings.

6. On-Device Processing

Some features may analyze attachments, images, documents, or text on your device to help improve organization, search, or suggestions. When available, this processing is designed to happen on-device or within Apple-provided system services rather than on our servers.

7. Backup, Export, and Restore

If you use encrypted export or backup features, you are responsible for storing exported files and any associated passphrases securely.

We cannot recover a lost export passphrase for you. Restoring exported data depends on the backup file, the information you choose to keep, and the security of the device and account used during restore.

8. Data Deletion

You may delete records, attachments, and other vault data at any time within the app.

If iCloud sync is enabled, synced data may also remain within Apple's systems and device backups according to your Apple account settings until removed there. Removing the app from a device does not necessarily remove synced or backed-up copies managed through Apple services.

9. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, share, rent, or provide your vault data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

If you choose to use Apple services such as iCloud, Apple provides the storage and sync infrastructure under your Apple account. Their handling of that service is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

10. Important Limitations

My Secret Keeper is designed to reduce risk and give you more control over your important information, but no software can guarantee perfect security, uninterrupted availability, flawless synchronization, or protection from every possible form of loss, misuse, or device compromise.

You remain responsible for:

• maintaining the security of your device
• protecting your Apple ID and credentials
• keeping important backups where appropriate
• reviewing exported files and passphrases you choose to store

11. Disclaimer

My Secret Keeper is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

C. Ray Carroll LLC is not responsible for loss of data, loss of access, or other damage resulting from device compromise, Apple account misuse, disabled sync settings, lost export passphrases, third-party platform issues, or user error.
